Osoyoos Task Force Mobilized for Anarchist Mountain Fire

The South Okanagan Similkameen Task Force has been activated to assist in firefighting efforts against an initial wildfire on Anarchist Mountain, with multiple fire apparatus expected to travel through the area.

In response to the initial Anarchist Mountain Fire, which covers approximately 0.009 hectares and is spreading between Sasquatch Trail and Cougar Court, the South Okanagan Similkameen Task Force has been mobilized.

The task force includes a dozen fire trucks from the BC Wildfire Service and will be assisted by firefighters from the Anarchist Mountain Fire Department. Multiple fire apparatus are anticipated to travel through Osoyoos as part of the firefighting efforts.

Residents in the area have been advised to expect increased traffic due to the heightened firefighting activities, which could last for some time.
