What residents can send
Osoyoos News welcomes local story tips, correction requests, community-event information and general feedback connected to Osoyoos, Oliver, Keremeos, Cawston, Anarchist Mountain, the Osoyoos Indian Band and directly connected South Okanagan services.
You do not need to write like a reporter. Clear facts, a useful source link and enough detail to understand the local connection are what matter.
Story tips
Story tips should include a public supporting source such as an official notice, public agenda, court record, public safety notice, news report, organizational announcement or other verifiable link. Tips are reviewed before anything is published. The robot does not get to run wild with the tip jar.
Community events
Event submissions should include the event name, organizer, date, time, venue, public contact, cost and any accessibility details. Events may be edited for clarity before publication.
Corrections
Correction requests should identify the article URL, the exact statement in question and the best available evidence. A good correction request saves time and helps get the record fixed properly.
What is not accepted
The site does not accept threats, hateful advocacy, defamatory claims without evidence, graphic abuse material, private personal information, spam, advertising dressed up as news or confidential information requiring strong anonymity. Ordinary web forms are useful, but they are not secure anonymous drop boxes.
