The advisory recommends using alternate safe sources for infants' formula preparation due to potential increased manganese concentration from boiling water.

In response to elevated manganese levels in its water supply, the Town of Osoyoos has issued a precautionary advisory. The advisory affects all users connected to the town's system, including RDOS Area A systems 8 and 9. Manganese levels measured between 0.125-0.159 mg/L exceed Health Canada’s Maximum Acceptable Concentration (MAC) of 0.12 mg/L.

Residents are advised to use alternate safe sources for infants' formula preparation, as boiling water is not recommended due to potential increased manganese concentration. The town also advises residents to run taps until clear and check laundry before staining occurs.
