Osoyoos Council Allocates Unspent Funds to Support Local Events

The Osoyoos Community Council has allocated unspent funds from previous projects, approving grants totaling $11,200 for three local events in October and November.

At the recent Osoyoos Community Council meeting on October 13, unspent funds from previous projects were redirected to support several local events in November. The grants approved by unanimous council vote total $11,200 and cover three distinct initiatives.

The Winter Fire and Ice Festival received a grant of $8,000 for its November event, while the Puppeteer parade event was granted $2,950 to help offset costs related to room rental. Additionally, the Rotary Club's Share the Christmas Spirit event was awarded $1,300 towards covering room rental expenses.

These grants are part of a strategy to utilize unspent funds from previous projects and enhance local community activities in Osoyoos.
