Oliver Town Seeks Final Funding for Lions Park Pump Track
The town of Oliver is seeking $55,000 to finalize its plans for a recreational pump track in Lions Park, aiming to enhance the area as an active living destination.
The Town of Oliver is currently in the final stages of planning a recreational pump track at Lions Park. With a total project budget of $255,000, which includes $200,000 from the Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen Area 'C' Rural Oliver funding, only $55,000 remains to be secured for the pump track's completion.
Mayor Martin Johansen has encouraged community members and organizations to contribute towards this final sum. Public engagement sessions have shown strong preference for the pump track over other proposed options, making it a priority for the town’s active living destination initiative.
