Desert Reels has announced a diverse fall film series for the Oliver Theatre in Osoyoos, Canada, featuring five Canadian and French films starting from October. The lineup includes 'The Christopers', a black comedy directed by Steven Soderbergh; 'Saints and Warriors', an award-winning documentary about Haida basketball team; 'Dancing on the Elephant', a comedic drama with Nora and Edna's story in a nursing home; 'The Mother and the Bear', a 2024 drama about Sumi and her mother Sara; and 'Spices and Lies', a French comedy-drama directed by Amine Adjina.
