Bridget Wilson enters Osoyoos council race with focus on accountability and follow-through

Bridget Wilson is running for Osoyoos Town Council in the 2026 municipal election, promising to bring a practical and persistent approach to the council table.

Wilson, who has called Osoyoos home since July 2021, announced her candidacy under the message, “Actions speak louder than words.”

She said her decision to run is rooted in a desire to represent the residents who live, work and invest in the community.

“I want to be the voice for the residents who shape the town,” Wilson said. “We must listen, must care and must actively work toward addressing the concerns of the people who live, work and invest in Osoyoos.”

Wilson brings approximately 25 years of experience as a strata manager. Through that work, she said she has developed skills in communication, budgeting, financial oversight, problem-solving and managing competing priorities.

Her experience has also involved working with authorities, listening to people with differing perspectives and ensuring decisions are followed through to completion.

Wilson believes that background would serve her well as a member of council.

“If elected, I want to be a practical, persistent, respectful and approachable voice on council,” she said.

Wilson identified responsible financial management, transparency and accountability as important parts of effective local government. She also emphasized the need for thoughtful discussion and a willingness to carry decisions through beyond the council chamber.

“Osoyoos is my home and I want to contribute to its future,” Wilson said. “I’m prepared to listen, learn, ask questions and do the work.”

Wilson said she would be honoured to earn the community’s support in the 2026 election.
