Artists' Gallery Show Thrives Despite Size Constraints

A group of fabric artists from South Okanagan have successfully showcased their art within strict size limitations at The Art Gallery Osoyoos (TAGO), demonstrating creativity and adaptability.

Fabricators, a collective of eleven artists from the South Okanagan region, have held their thirteenth gallery exhibition at The Art Gallery Osoyoos (TAGO) under the theme 'Vertically Challenged'. This exhibit was initially planned with an open format but faced initial size issues that necessitated a change in theme to accommodate art quilts within 15” wide by 40” high portrait orientation limits. Formed in 2002, the group has held thirteen gallery exhibits over the past twenty-four years.

The exhibition runs from September 3rd through September 26th and features a diverse array of artistic expressions that adhere to these size constraints. Despite the challenges posed by the theme change, the artists have managed to produce visually appealing and thought-provoking art pieces that showcase their talents in fabric art. The first Friday reception on September 4th will feature several members present for visitors to engage with the exhibits.
