Town of Oliver to Access Interim Borrowing for Rockcliffe Irrigation Project

According to a report by the Times Chronicle on August 5, 2026, the Town of Oliver will utilize interim borrowing to cover $1.1 million in costs for the Rockcliffe irrigation project.

The total loan amount has been reduced to $550,000 due to Canada Community Building reserve funds.

A temporary borrowing bylaw was recommended by CFO John Kurvink and unanimously approved by council on July 31, 2026.

The borrowing deadline has been moved to Spring 2027 due to delays in Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen approval.
