Osoyoos Town Council Approves $37 Million in Investments for Enhanced Transportation Network
The Town of Osoyoos has approved an investment of $37 million to enhance its transportation network, with plans to improve walking paths, cycling infrastructure, roadways, and public transit options. Mayor Sue McKortoff presented the proposed changes at a recent council meeting.
The Town of Osoyoos has unveiled updates to its Transportation Master Plan (TMP), with Director Tyler Madsen presenting the new initiatives aimed at making transportation safer and more efficient. The plan includes projects such as a sidewalk on Harbour Key Drive and bike pathways, both planned for completion within two years.
Osoyoos aims to reduce reliance on Main Street by offering better biking and walking routes, thereby improving overall connectivity in the community. Council members will decide which TMP recommendations receive funding up until 2040.
