Council Delays Decision on DVP for Osoyoos Property at 8 Chardonnay Court

The Town of Osoyoos council has delayed its decision on a variance application for a property at 8 Chardonnay Court, citing concerns over off-street parking and emergency vehicle access.

According to the Times Chronicle, the Town of Osoyoos council has postponed its decision on a variance application for a property at 8 Chardonnay Court. The main request was to reduce off-street parking requirements from six metres to four and a half metres.

The existing driveway is between 4.3 and 4.5 metres, which does not meet the minimum requirement. Additionally, a secondary suite on the property requires formal approval due to lack of proper development permits.

Town Planner Shannon Duong noted that the garage is not wide enough for two vehicles. Residents have expressed concerns about street parking and emergency vehicle access.
