According to Castanet Oliver/Osoyoos, an event celebrating World Snake Day will be held at Nk'Mip Desert Cultural Centre in Osoyoos. The scheduled event starts at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday and features an interpretive walk where attendees can see snakes up close. Additionally, there will be a Snake Show at 11 a.m., providing educational information about snake evolution and survival. Behind-the-scenes access to field equipment is also available at 12:30 p.m.
The Nk'Mip Desert Cultural Centre houses Western Rattlesnake and has a 24-year-old snake research program, making it an ideal location for this event.
