Town of Oliver Urges Water Conservation Amid High Use and Drought Conditions
The Town of Oliver is reminding residents to conserve water amid exceptionally high use and drought conditions.
Castanet Oliver/Osoyoos reported that the Town of Oliver is urging water conservation amid exceptionally high use and drought conditions. Exceptionally high water use has been seen across the system, prompting conservation efforts.
Residents are advised to repair leaks, limit outdoor watering, and run full loads in appliances to help conserve water. Stage 1 restrictions have also been announced: odd-numbered addresses can water on Monday, Wednesday, Saturday; even-numbered on Tuesday, Friday, Sunday.
Additionally, no sprinkler use is allowed between 7 p.m. and 9 a.m., three days per week, as part of the water restrictions. The Town of Oliver asks for community cooperation to protect resources and maintain service reliability.
