The Town of Osoyoos is excited to present the Draft Transportation Master Plan and is inviting community members to participate in the second round of engagement. This long-term plan will guide how people move around Osoyoos for years to come.
Earlier this year, the Town began developing a new Transportation Master Plan, including engaging with the community to explore how the transportation network can better meet the community’s current and future needs. The Draft Plan establishes a vision and sets goals for the community’s transportation network, with a focus on creating streets that are safe, comfortable, accessible and well-maintained for all users.
The feedback collected during the first round of engagement was used to inform the Transportation Master Plan’s vision and goals. The following goals were identified:
Create safe and welcoming local streets
Build an age-friendly, connected walking network
Connect the biking and multi-use pathway network
Partner with the Province to improve the Highway Corridor
Make it easy for visitors to “Park Once”
Improve transit and shared transportation
More information about the first round of engagement is available in the What We Learned Report .
As part of the second round of engagement, residents are invited to review the Draft Plan and share their feedback. Input gathered during this phase will help identify any gaps and inform refinements to the plan.
