According to Castanet Oliver/Osoyoos, Desert Park Raceway has been upgraded for horse harness racing. The agreement between the Desert Park Exhibition Society, WCHRA, and Town of Osoyoos has been finalized.
The track features a one-kilometre surface with a 247m homestretch. Stabling and stalling for the fall meet began on Friday. WCHRA will manage the new racing program.
Desert Park has a history as an equestrian hub, adding horse racing activities to its existing events.
