Castanet Oliver/Osoyoos reported that Osoyoos councillor Zach Poturica has announced his intention to run for mayor in the fall, nearing the end of his first term on council.

Main issues highlighted by councillor Poturica include infrastructure deficits and funding provincial relationships.

Mayor Sue McKortoff has not yet indicated if she will be running again in the October 17 general election.
