Osoyoos Canada Day Shooting Convictions Upheld, Appeal Denied

Following a denial of appeal by the Court of Appeal in Osoyoos, BC, Steven Marlo Gallagher was confirmed guilty of firearm offenses and aggravated assault for his actions during the 2022 Canada Day celebration.

In a significant legal setback for Steven Marlo Gallagher, the Court of Appeal in Osoyoos, British Columbia, upheld his convictions on charges related to an incident during the 2022 Canada Day celebration. The court denied Gallagher's appeal based on flaws in identification evidence that had been raised by his defense team.

Gallagher was previously convicted for shooting at a beach area during the festivities and sentenced to seven years in prison, which included penalties for firearm offenses and aggravated assault. Despite challenges to the reliability of the identification evidence presented against him, the Court of Appeal found these convictions to be solid.
