Osoyoos Area Fire Spotted Near Anarchist Mountain Peaks

A wildfire has been detected in the hills near Osoyoos, with fire crews mobilizing and BC Wildfire Service responding to contain it.

Firefighters have identified a wildfire in the Osoyoos area, specifically in the hills near Anarchist Mountain. The blaze was discovered on Friday morning and is located off Sasquatch Trail towards Telus Tower. BC Wildfire Service has dispatched air support to assist with containment efforts.

The fire covers an initial 0.009 hectares and remains out of control. Osoyoos area fire crews are also responding to the situation, while Anarchist Mountain fire teams have been mobilized to address the emergency.
