Oliver Wins Annual Water Award from Okanagan Basin Water Board

Times Chronicle reports Oliver as the winner of the annual water award from the Okanagan Basin Water Board.

According to Times Chronicle, Oliver has won an annual water award from the Okanagan Basin Water Board (OBWB) for the second time in three years. The Make Water Work award was presented by outgoing Osoyoos Mayor Sue McKortoff.

Mayor Martin Johansen noted that this win emphasizes collaboration on water conservation efforts across the Okanagan Valley. Despite being one vote short, Osoyoos presented the award to recognize the achievements of its community members.

The OBWB's director delivered the award in person to emphasize teamwork and shared responsibility for water management.
