The OFD members trained, planned, and refined operations to meet rigorous standards. Exercises demonstrated ability to deliver a continuous water supply for over one hour.

Commercial/residential designation maximizes insurance benefits for rural residents of Oliver. Osoyoos FireRescue and Okanagan Falls Volunteer Fire Department provided mutual aid in the accreditation process.
