New Wheelchair Lift Installed at Oliver's Venables Theatre

A new wheelchair lift has been installed at Oliver's Venables Theatre, improving accessibility for mobility device users.

According to Castanet Oliver/Osoyoos, a new wheelchair lift has been installed at Oliver's Venables Theatre.

The installation was funded by the BC Arts Council and Canadian Heritage Cultural Spaces Fund, with a combined cost of $185,000 from various funding sources.

The project aims to make the theatre more inclusive and accessible for all patrons. Leah Foreman, general manager of the theatre, praised the lift's impact, stating that it will greatly improve access for mobility device users to the stage area.
