In response to another devastating wildfire season, including the recent Bald Range fire in Southern Interior British Columbia, candidate Kevin Prowse for Boundary-Similkameen MLA highlighted the need for improved wildfire management strategies. Drawing from his personal experience as a former firefighter and current candidate, Prowse emphasized the importance of early warning systems, forest thinning programs, and better coordination between local municipalities and provincial authorities.

Candidate Kevin Prowse, a former firefighter and current MLA candidate for Boundary-Similkameen, emphasized the need for enhanced wildfire management strategies in response to recent wildfires. He highlighted his personal experiences fighting fires at a young age and during his career, advocating for increased investment in early warning systems and forest thinning programs.

Prowse also called for better coordination between local municipalities and provincial authorities to ensure swift response times and efficient resource allocation during wildfire incidents. Additionally, he urged the provincial government to reduce bureaucratic red tape that can hinder the timely implementation of fire mitigation projects and emergency responses in remote areas.
