Historic Fairview Townsite Parking Lot to Undergo Upgrades

The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen and Oliver and District Heritage Society are collaborating on improvements.

According to Castanet Oliver/Osoyoos, the Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen and Oliver and District Heritage Society are collaborating on improvements for the Historic Fairview Townsite parking lot.

The project aims to improve visitor experience and accessibility while preserving the site's historical significance. Improvements include expanding the parking area, resurfacing with recycled asphalt, and installing curbs.

Work will be completed by later fall in Electoral Area C - Rural Oliver. The parking lot is 80 metres west of Fairview Road and Willowbrook Road. Construction will close the parking area, but roadside parking may be available during work.

The improvements are expected to create a safer, more organized, and user-friendly parking area.
