Bryan John Miles, a former employee of the Holiday Inn restaurant in Osoyoos, has been sentenced to five years in prison for sexually assaulting a teenage coworker.
The victim, who was 17 years old at the time of the incident, reported being locked in her car and assaulted by Miles. She called 911 after he became unconscious, leading to his arrest with an empty vodka mickey found on the vehicle floor.
Miles has a prior criminal record, including previous offenses, and was previously sentenced to five years minus time served. The victim registry requires for 20 years, with no contact with the victim mandated.
