Firefighters Respond to Wildfires in South Okanagan, Supporting Clinton

South Okanagan firefighting crews have been actively supporting nearby wildfires, including those near Clinton and Anarchist Mountain.

On Saturday, South Okanagan firefighting crews from the Oliver Fire Department and Willowbrook Volunteer Fire Department responded to wildfires in the Clinton area. These efforts were complemented by additional support from BC Wildfire Service firefighters who worked on nearby fires such as the Raven Hill and Sasquatch Trail wildfires.

Despite intense conditions, all members of the responding crews remained safe following night operations. The Oliver Fire Department was particularly praised for its structural protection measures during the night shift. Meanwhile, air quality alerts were issued in Trail due to smoke from wildfires, while a water advisory was in effect for Osoyoos as well.
