Boundary-Similkameen MLA Donegal Wilson Rejoins Conservative Party

MLA Donegal Wilson rejoins Conservative Party after resignation and snap election call.

According to Castanet Oliver/Osoyoos, Boundary-Similkameen MLA Donegal Wilson has rejoined the Conservative Party after resigning and calling for a snap election. Wilson had previously announced her departure from the party earlier this month, but then accepted an invitation to re-join under interim leader Lorne Doerkson.

Election day is set for October 24 in British Columbia. Wilson has committed to working alongside her Conservative colleagues for the long haul. This is not the first time a MLA has switched back to the Conservative Party following Findlay's resignation and election call, with more than half a dozen MLAs having made the switch so far.

With the snap election approaching, residents of Boundary-Similkameen are likely to be watching Wilson's actions closely. The outcome of the election is still uncertain, but one thing is clear: Donegal Wilson is now back on board with the Conservative Party.
