Brian Bagnall, a local businessman, is running for the Osoyoos council seat with his vision of an eight-court pickleball facility at the centre. The project was initially proposed in an old museum building, but the lease attempt was rejected by the council and administration.

Bagnall has now shifted focus to a new location and is in negotiations with local stakeholders for financial support. He also plans to follow a funding model from a similar venture in Vernon.

In addition to his pickleball project, Bagnall has expressed opinions on water issues and Airbnb regulation, suggesting subsidies for Wibit and promoting tourism to boost the town's economy.
