Two Structures Destroyed in Keremeos Fire

A fire in Keremeos on June 21 destroyed two structures, including a shed and a mobile home.

According to the Keremeos Review, two structures were lost in the June 21 fire in Keremeos. The Keremeos Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene at 1:14 p.m. on that day.

The fire was contained by firefighters, but Highway 3 Bypass Road was closed for several hours due to the situation. Tony Ianella, Regional District of Okanagan Similkameen Manager of Regional Fire Services, provided details about the fire's containment and impact.

No injuries were reported during the incident.

A separate incident in May claimed the life of Reidun Sky Milton-Kittelson in Keremeos, prompting a fundraiser organized by neighbors and the Lower Similkameen Indian Band to support his family.
