SOGH Emergency Department to Remain Open on Monday
The SOGH emergency department will continue to operate on June 22, despite an earlier announcement of service interruption due to staffing issues.
According to a report by the Times Chronicle (https://www.timeschronicle.ca/sogh-emergency-closed-monday), the SOGH emergency department will remain open on Monday, June 22.
The service interruption initially announced earlier was due to staffing issues. However, it has been confirmed that all other inpatient services at SOGH will continue as usual.
Patients with life-threatening conditions are advised to call 911 for immediate assistance. Non-emergency health information can be accessed via HealthLink BC or HealthLinkBC.ca.
The Penticton Regional Hospital is available for emergency care during the closure of the SOGH emergency department.
