Yukon Hantavirus Cruise Ship Passenger Discharged from B.C. Hospital

A passenger on a cruise ship that contracted hantavirus in Yukon has been discharged from a hospital in British Columbia.

According to the Keremeos Review, a passenger on the MV Hondius cruise ship who tested positive for Yukon hantavirus has been discharged from a hospital in British Columbia. The passenger, part of a couple from the Yukon, is still recovering after being hospitalized.

The other two passengers in quarantine have ended their isolation and are asymptomatic. Four individuals were on the MV Hondius when they contracted hantavirus; three are from British Columbia, one is from Vancouver Island.
