Environment Canada expanded a severe thunderstorm watch to cover regions across the Southern Interior, including Osoyoos, Penticton, Kelowna, and Vernon. The weather system is expected to bring downpours with up to 20 millimetres of rainfall. Forecasters also warn of strong wind gusts that could reach up to 70 kilometres per hour.
