The South Okanagan General Hospital Emergency Room will close on Tuesday night, with services unavailable from 5 PM to 7 AM Wednesday.

According to Castanet Oliver/Osoyoos, the South Okanagan General Hospital Emergency Room will be closing on Tuesday night. The closure will take place from 5 PM to 7 AM Wednesday, during which time patients can access emergency care at Penticton Regional Hospital.

Inpatient services will continue as normal at SOGH, while non-emergency health information is available through HealthLink BC or www.HealthLinkBC.ca. For life-threatening emergencies, individuals are advised to call 911.

Patients and community members are reminded that the closure is a planned maintenance measure, and not due to any specific incident or issue with the hospital's services.

The closure will allow for necessary repairs and upgrades to be carried out, ensuring the continued provision of high-quality healthcare services in the region.
