Katzberg Dominates Canadian Track and Field Championships with Fourth Consecutive Title

Nanaimo native Ethan Katzberg secured his fourth consecutive title at the Canadian Track and Field Championships, outperforming competitors in Ottawa.

Nanaimo native Ethan Katzberg clinched his fourth consecutive Canadian hammer throw title at the recent Canadian Track and Field Championships held in Ottawa. This victory marked a significant achievement for Katzberg, who previously won gold at the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics with an impressive 84.12-meter throw.

In the senior category competition, Katzberg demonstrated exceptional form by throwing 81.13 meters, securing his best performance of the championships. He outperformed Rowan Hamilton and Andreas Troschke who placed second and third respectively in the same event. This victory not only solidifies Katzberg's status as a top-tier athlete but also positions him to represent Canada at the upcoming 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland.
