Community Unites to Aid Oliver Food Truck After Generator Theft

Following another theft of its generator, Same Same But Different Thai Food Truck in Oliver has sought support from the community to replace the lost equipment and continue hosting events.

After a generator was stolen from Same Same But Different Thai Food Truck on Highway 97 and Road 4 in less than a year since the previous theft, the business has again turned to its community for assistance. The food truck has requested $700 to replace the lost equipment, which is essential for operating at events.

In addition to needing funds for the generator replacement, Same Same But Different Thai Food Truck also requires support in raising $700 more to cover other expenses related to the theft. This includes covering losses from a previous incident where an Interac machine was stolen and approximately $1,000 worth of food items were taken.

The community has rallied around the food truck once again, with Oliver winery VinAmité Cellars contributing $700 towards the fundraising effort. The winery's support highlights the importance of supporting local businesses within the community.
