Osoyoos drag races draw hundreds to airport runway

High-speed racing returned to the Osoyoos Airport on Sunday, drawing approximately 400 spectators for the Wine Country Racing Association’s 20th anniversary drag races. The event, which followed the Cactus Jalopies car cruise, was a massive success despite ongoing uncertainties regarding the future lease agreement of the runway. Organizers highlighted that the races provide a safe, legal environment to keep high-performance driving off public streets.
