The Oliver-based volunteer non-profit Okanagan Gleaners has announced a temporary halt to its end-of-month food mix shipments due to rising global transit and shipping costs. Despite these global distribution delays, local volunteers are continuing to manufacture the soup mixes in hopes of shipping them out once schedules normalize. The society has successfully distributed over 100 million servings worldwide since its founding in 1996.
