The B.C. government has expanded the use of HealthIM, a digital risk-screening tool, to support police response to mental-health-related calls across the Interior, including the Osoyoos RCMP detachment. The system facilitates better communication to help officers gain insight into crisis situations and make more compassionate interactions. HealthIM has already contributed to a 46% decrease in apprehensions and a 39% reduction in hospital wait times.
